Angelic Mansions began as a quest to find a suitable Assisted Living and Retirement Center for Susy Rajadas, a Registered Nurse, who suffered a severe, disabling stroke shortly after retirement. Her children, Steve Rajadas MD, Phillip Rajadas MD, Sheila Rajadas PT, and Sheiba Rajadas MBA were unable to find a satisfactory facility that offered the quality of life that they expected and felt their mother deserved. Small facilities were home like and affordable but offered very few services. Mammoth facilities offered the required services and amenities but were prohibitively expensive and certainly felt more like a cattle pen than home.
In their search, they met others with similar needs and goals. Dawna Basham has owned multiple businesses and was a caregiver for her father, grandfather, grandmother and aunt. Naveen Samuel DDS was also a caregiver for his grandmother who lived in their own small Assisted Living Facility. Nicole Samuel MS., CCC-SLP is a Certified Speech Pathologist with training in Cognitive problems. Tyler Moyer B.A. owns his own advertising agency and was involved with his grandfathers' move to an unsatisfactory Assisted Living Facility and then back home again.
This team was formed to create Angelic Mansions - Assisted Living, a community that would not only be affordable, but provide a luxurious home like atmosphere with countless standard amenities that rival the finest resorts. Their dream and mission is now a reality. Leadership
Steve Rajadas MD. Administration
Dr. Steve Rajadas was the Primary Caregiver for both his parents. He received his B.S. in Biology from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia. He received his M.S. in Physiology from Loma Linda University , Loma Linda, California and received his M.D. form UNIBE in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Steve Rajadas helped develop a 72 bed Independent Living Community with his brother Phillip. Dr. Steve Rajadas practiced Medicine with his brother and also managed a medical practice before assuming a more important role as full time caregiver for both of his parents.
Sheiba Rajadas MBA. Finance
Sheiba Rajadas graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and earned her MBA in Finance from California State University, San Bernardino. She worked for the State of California Employment Development Dept for a few years and later owned and operated her own Real Estate and Escrow Company in Los Angeles for 13 Years. She has been the Administrator for Ladera Estates and STAR Physicians, LLC. She is an active Real estate investor and currently holds an active Administrators License for Assisted Living Facilities in California.
Phillip Rajadas MD. Operations
Phillip Rajadas was the secondary caregiver for both his parents. He graduated from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed his Medical School and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. He also completed a second residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio. Dr. Rajadas also has additional certifications and or training in Pain Medicine, Stroke, Wound Care, Hyperbaric Medicine, Independent Medical Examiner and Medical Review Officer. Dr. Rajadas has owned multiphysician medical practices in several states. In addition, he has been the Medical Director of several Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities in Oklahoma and Colorado as well as the Medical Director of several Skilled Nursing Facilities. Dr. Rajadas has also owned and operated an 80 Unit multifamily apartment complex, a mid size hotel and developed and operated a 72 Unit Independent Living Community. Dr. Rajadas combines his unique experiences of medical expertise and experience with multifamily/hotel/hospitality management to operate Assisted Living Resorts. Dr. Rajadas currently holds an active California license as an Administrator for Assisted Living Facilities.
Dawna Basham. Life Enrichment Coordinator
Dawna Basham was a caregiver for her father, grandfather, grandmother and an aunt before they passed away. Among the many businesses that Dawna has owned, operated and marketed are the first Cell Phone business in Grand Junction, CO, (Started at age 18, right after High School), Urine Drug Screening, Cleaning Services, Landscape Business. and High Risk Childcare.
Tyler Moyer graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S.B.A. focused on Finance and Real Estate. Mr. Moyer started his career in corporate consulting at Ryan, LLC working with various fortune 500 companies such as Time Warner Cable and Alaska Airlines, before taking a position as a Project Manager (PMP) for a software development company. In 2013, Mr. Moyer founded TyME, a digital marketing firm, which has remained his primary focus along with real estate investing and part owner of a full service salon.
Naveen Samuel DDS, MPH, is a practicing dentist in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Samuel provides high quality dentistry to the elderly in his practice. Dr. Samuels has owned and operated a multi location dental practice. In addition, his family owned and operated a small assisted living facility. Dr. Samuel also currently holds active licenses in California as a Real Estate Agent and as an Insurance Agent and is a seasoned real estate investor.
Nicole Samuel M.S., CCC-SLP, graduated from Loma Linda University with a Masters of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as home health, public schools, private practice, outpatient rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation.
